The company announced on Monday a new personal computer called Copilot+ PCpokerchipsonlineThis is a new type of computer equipped with so-called artificial intelligence personal computer chips, running Microsoft's latest version of Windows 11 and its Copilot artificial intelligence software.
Microsoft also revealed that its Copilot+ PC will now run on OpenAI's gpt - 40 model, allowing assistants to interact with your computer via text, video and voice. Users can also share their screens with Copilot and have a natural conversation with the app.
Copilot+ personal computers are a branch of artificial intelligence personal computers, which are often defined as personal computers running on Intel, AMD and Qualcomm chips with built-in neural processing units or neural engines that can run generative artificial intelligence applications locally without having to connect to the Internet.
Copilot+ pc will include 16GB of RAM and 256GB of storage to ensure performance.
In a pre-recorded Copilot gpt - 40 integrated demonstration, a user opened the Minecraft game and asked Copilot how to make a sword. The assistant can see what the user is doing in the game and guide him through everything he needs to do to create props.
Microsoft said it will integrate Copilot into many gaming applications because it will run on your PC's NPU, not a GPU, so it should not affect overall performance.
Microsoft also promoted the performance of its Copilot+ PC and highlighted its performance advantages over similar Apple devices.
According to the company, a Snapdragon X Elite notebook equipped with Qualcomm's Arm chip will have 20% longer battery life than Apple's MacBook Air, a 23% increase in peak performance, and a 58% increase in sustained multi-threading performance. The company also showed off running Adobe's Photoshop on its Surface laptops and beat Apple's MacBook Air on certain tasks.
In addition to launching the Copilot+ PC version of Surface Laptop and Surface Pro devices, Microsoft said the software will also be used in products from Acer, ASUS, Dell, HP, Lenovo and Samsung.
Weeks after Microsoft's announcement, rival Apple is expected to launch its own artificial intelligence features in its products, including iPhone and Mac lines, at the World Developers Conference (WWDC) developers conference on June 10.
