Silicon-based negative electrodes have attracted much attention due to their extremely high specific capacity and advantages of significantly improving lithium battery charge and discharge efficiency. They are considered to be an effective way to further improve battery energy density. The severe volume effect of silicon during lithiation is the biggest limitation on the commercialization of silicon-based materials. However, at this stage, the expansion problem of silicon-based negative electrodes has been greatly improved under the CVD method of silicon carbon. In the future, the demand for silicon-based negative electrodes on the application side is expected to further increase.
