From January to April 2023, the number of visitors to Hong Kong reached 14.62 million, a year-on-year increase of 100%, showing the strong recovery momentum of Hong Kong's tourism market.
The Hong Kong Tourism Board disclosed today that in order to further promote the development of the tourism market, it will issue a coupon of HK$200 to each visitor from eight newly added "individual visit" cities to attract more mainland tourists to spend in Hong Kong and further promote Hong Kong's economic prosperity.
Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Li Jiachao, welcomed the recovery of tourism and emphasized that the government will continue to support the development of tourism to promote continued growth of Hong Kong's economy.
